I spent the weekend with Martin Storey! Part 1

To be held at "Charleston"

It was pouring down on the Saturday, but lovely and bright on the Sunday!

When we weren't knitting, we got to explore the gardens after our....

spectacular lunch!

We ate in the kitchen of Charleston!

There was a lot of "old" about....

with a bit of "new"...I love Emma Bridgewater china!

This pattern suited this old house!
oh yes, and there was lots of wool!

    1. It was Sarah! The only disappointment was....that we didn't get a tour of the house! I was rather peeved at that personally...the gift shop was open :) but we couldn't go into the main part of the house! I guess that means I'll just have to visit again right? :)

What a spectacular property -- it must have been a fabulous weekend! Anne, I've lately "rediscovered" your blog (I was a long-time fan of She Ewe Knits) -- it's wonderful, thank you for sharing your stories with us all. And I have to add that I love my own Aga and highly recommend them!

    1. Janette - it just happened that we were going to be in the UK, I saw the workshop listed...it fit in with our visit.....and I went. The reason we were going to the UK actually fell through....so I am glad I had this to enjoy, otherwise I might have been rather annoyed :)
