Third Sleeve Syndrome - D'Arcy Encore

My friend Reneé took this photo of my D'Arcy when I visited last week! She has a "sweet spot" in her home, perfect for photos....the light is wonderful and the colour of the wall makes a great backdrop! Now, I did tell you that I am a new crocheter....and this was my first official foray into following a crochet pattern for a garment. My first sleeve was frogged (do you use that term for crochet) many times....so many times that I decided to knit two fresh sleeves...and here they are. But that left me with my spare "practice" sleeve, and loving this yarn so much, like I do....well, I just didn't want to toss it or frog it one final time....so..... Sharing the Love of Knitting!

Having a new baby arrive can be inspiring for us knitters! I couldn't resist making this adorable "Joey" hat from Rowan's  Baby 4 ply Collection  for my friend's new addition!  This collection uses Super Fine Merino 4 ply ! I have to say, this yarn would make gorgeous sweaters for those of you who love a fine gauge kit! The colours are subtle and so sophisticated!  Of course, this was all part of my plan to encourage the new Mom to take up the needles herself! Yes! It worked! Here Mom is knitting with the new Big Wool Silk yarn - totally gorgeous! She is knitting a stocking stitch/reverse stocking stitch scarf, which we decided today to make into a cowl....stay tuned for future progress updates!
