Sometimes it's just a simple thing.....

When I received my skein of Rowan Fine Art Aran I wanted to knit it...right now!  I didn't want to wait one minute for a pattern, and I only had one skein - what was a knitter to do?

Remember my Swatch Cowls - three quick and easy knits to introduce myself to +RowanYarns Fine Art Aran Yarn?

Well.....long story short.....Rowan thought that they were just the thing for getting to know this new yarn....and....blushing.....voila!

They have taken my three cowls and created this "Collection"
and here it is, on the KnitRowan web site!

The Fine Art Aran Collection

Stocking Stitch Swatch Cowl

Seed Stitch Swatch Cowl

4x4 Rib Swatch Cowl

I am honestly so excited about this, I just can't tell you!

Something so simple has made one of my forever dreams come true!

It goes to show you....NEVER give up on your dreams.

Thank you Rowan for making one of my dreams come true - big check mark there!
Thank you to my friend, knit buddy and great photographer Renee
for suggestions on how to take super photos of such simple knits.

Remember, you have to register (it's free) to be a ROW@N member, log in, and you'll be able to see all of the fabulous FREE Members Only designs.

I loved making swatch cowls so much that I ended up with a Trilogy!  I seriously had to stop myself....but I do have two more skeins of Fine Art Aran....so you never know!

The 4x4 Ribbed Swatch Cowl has been so well loved during this extremely cold winter here in Southern Ontario.....my husband has rarely taken it off!  He loves it so much, thinks it is so cosy and warm....he asked for a sweater knit out of +RowanYarns Fine Art Aran in that same shade - Bachata 551.  It's almost done....we will have a reveal soon!

  4. Thank you - I love this yarn.......I don't mind the Alpaca content.....although some say it is scratchy. I have no trouble wearing it next to my skin.

  5. I think we all buy variegated yarns because the colours look so good together and then don't know what to do with them. Your cowls show off these yarns beautifully! And alpaca isn't scratchy; it's wonderfully soft and cosy - perfect for cowls.
