SSS
Stepanie Pearl-McPhee, The Yarn Harlot
refers to SSS in her book
"At Knit's End
- Meditations for Women who Knit Too Much"
SSS: an abbreviation referring to the crippling and common knitter's affliction known as Second Sock Syndrome.
I'd like to ad "Second Sleeve Syndrome" to that.........
I'm working on the second sleeve of Gerda -- and I'm trying to do it right this time.
I'm almost there........watch for my update on how a little effort while knitting saves you a lot of time and aggravation later!
Anne
I'm right with you on that one! I'd much rather do a second sock than a second sleeve!
ReplyDeleteOh Anne, the dreaded SSS- but you're so close to finishing, don't quit now! We wanna see it!
ReplyDelete...and we need the tutorial! (Well, some of us...)

Hi Anne!!! I'm sorry that you weren't at the Frolic, but I'm glad that I found your blog. Gerda looks great - exp. with the ends done in.
ReplyDelete? - Are the sizes for Fair Rosamund (on SEK) 'to fit' sizes to finished sizes?
YOUR INSTRUCTIONS RE HOW TO MAKE A SLEEVE EASIER WILL COME JUST IN TIME - I AM ALMOST UP TO THE NECK OF MY FAIR ISLE YOUR SWEATER LOOKS GREAT
ReplyDeletePAT
I am so with you on this one. I have a sweater I started a year ago. Why is it not done? Because I have 20" of moss stitch to knit on each sleeve!
