Do you take your scissors to your hand knitting?  It's called STEEKING , and yes, it seems scary, but it doesn't have to be! It's 2019, and with this new year along with my regular knit updates, product reviews and acquisition videos....I'm planning on doing a series of steek technique videos! My "go to" technique is the first up.....it's simple, clean and probably the most organic way to steek! There's a bonus at the end of how I pick up my stitches. Happy 2019 Everyone! Join me at the Gone Stitchin' 2018 knit camp! Julie at  The Needle Emporium has been hosting knit camp for many years...this is my second time attending! Rowan's 40th Anniversary was featured in camp events....along with knit technique classes and yarn dyeing on the patio! The food at the Bayview Wildwood Resort is wonderful! This is just a little taste of the weekend....and an overview of the Friday night fashion show which features all of the designs that are popular right now AND the Rowan 40th Anniversary Trunk Show garments! How Exciting! Arne & Carlos have designed a "New Nordic" collection using Rowan's Felted Tweed and Kidsilk Haze yarns! Arne and Carlos update the "Nordic" style with the luxury of Felted Tweed's wool alpaca and Kidsilk Haze mohair! I knit a hat!!! Kaffe is celebrating Rowan's 40 year anniversary with his own personal selection of "Kaffe's Colours". 8 new shades of Rowan Felted Tweed, selected by Kaffe....and you know that means they are bright! Zinnia, Turquoise, Pink Bliss, Barbara, Vaseline Green, Bright Green, Lotus Leaf and Iris.....8 gorgeous bright additions to the already 31 shade strong palette of Rowan Felted Tweed! These designs are mostly scarves and shawls...minimal shaping, high on colour impact and visual design! There is one lovely classic Kaffe pullover!
