We went on the 4 hour "Millionaire's Row" cruise this year -- it takes you past some of the most amazing "cottages" and you can see why they named the cruise the way they did...... There was a large party of people on board.....so they had the first luncheon sitting.....so for almost 2 hours it was like it was our own personal cruise.  The bartender made us hot chocolate, with Baileys Irish Cream and whipped cream on top - yummy! After our turkey with all the trimmings luncheon, I found myself a spot in the sun - it was another fabulous trip on the Segwun!

Go all out with an "afternoon tea".  Get our your tea set. Cut your sandwiches up - to be authentic I should have cut off the crusts LOL! Home made raisin tea biscuits, with jam and cream - yummy!

Knits were everywhere in London - this is a M&S window - Knitted scarves, sweaters hats, dresses - all layered -- lots of  stripes, chunky knits and "fair isle" type items.

You know the old saying, a picture is worth a thousand words.  Well, enjoy! (I was looking for my chunk of knitting - walked past it twice before I saw it!  Wonder how it will stand up to two weeks in the weather......I'll have to check on that!)

Friday - Sept. 10 - a quick trip on the Tube down to Victoria Station, a ten minute walk, and we're at the Horticultural Halls........ I was registered for a workshop with Marie Wallin -- but it turns out she was ill and couldn't make it - disappointing. Oh well, while we were there, a bit of Retail Therapy was required to quell the disappointment! A new Orange Herdy mug - and a matching tea towel. A few copies of Alice's updated and expanded Aran Knitting and an I Knit London bag to carry my new loot in!

Saturday morning - 9:00 am - back on the Subway down to Victoria - a 10 minute walk to the Horticultural Centre - up the stairs to the third floor for my Workshop with Alice... Alice explained her charting system, and the way she starts and ends her infinite cables that are required for Celtic style cable type knitting....and we all knit away on our swatches. Just lovely! We also got to see, examine, fondle and drool over, swatches in the new Bainin yarn, the actual Boudiccia braid sweater (both inside and out) and the new Eala Bhan design, both knit by Alice herself in her 2 ply Hebridean Yarn - all things Alice available at Virtual Yarns . Alice said that she had worn her Eala Bhan sweater on Friday but it was just too hot to wear it on Saturday.  Alice was very stylishly dressed -- wish I had photographed her shoes (heels, with high laced fronts - open toes and cut outs) -- with a pin tucked pleated skirt and silky blouse.
