Liquorice Delights!

a little touch of fair isle
as a "palate cleanser" in preparation for my next "big" project!
an adorable design by Carol Meldrum
in Felted Tweed and Rowan Tweed

Sheil Wrist Warmers, a free pattern on the Rowan web site!
(I shopped my stash and chose these shades, with no inspiration in mind)

The first one knit up really fast
and it seemed like no time at all and they were done!

(The pattern calls for them to be knit flat, then seamed.
I knit them in the round, on 4 double pointed needles!)

I realized that for some bizarre reason,
they reminded me of Liquorice Allsorts :)

How could I resist?

Seems purple is a popular shade!

Nails by Jamberry!
These are the "Reminisce" design and I sort of love them!

Have you tried Jamberry Wraps?
If you love having your nails done, but don't like the muss,
fuss and fumes of regular nail polish, you really need to try Jamberry!

You do them yourself, at home!

If you want to give Jamberry a try,
Renee is my Jamberry rep
and she'll fix you up, doesn't matter where you are :)
(I am in no way affiliated to Jamberry
except as a happy Jamberry user ! )

What's that on the mug you ask?

"She is too fond of books, &
 it has turned her brain."

Louisa M. Alcott

Time to cast on my main summer project!
More about that next time!

Until then,

Happy Knitting!

Anne,
with Lackie and Daisy at her feet :)

  1. Beautiful wrist warmers, Anne. You're right, they look just like liquorice allsorts! I'm going to tell my youngest daughter abut the Jamberry wraps. The smells at the nail salon bother her, so this might be a good alternative.

Kristie, if she likes to have her nails done, but hates the smell....Jamberry wraps are for her :) These wrist warmers are so cute, I think I might have to make some more! Very envious here of your spring weather out there...you guys get a lot of rain though, that would kill me...my head hates rainy days :)

  2. Those wrist warmers are really cute and happy, Anne.

I couldn't find the post where you wrote about this book you were listening to, so I will say thank you for sharing in this post. I already read all three books in the "A Novel of the Others" series by Anne Bishop; loved them all!

Please share with us whatever else you are reading, listening too while knitting. :)

  3. The pattern is no longer available on the Rowan site. Could you publish it so it is visible, please? (Rosemary)
