The Real Me.....

I created this me at Avatar Portrait Maker -- and I'm going to use it as my blog profile photo, if I can figure out how to do it! Yes, that's Daisy under my arm! Too bad they don't have knitting needles as an option!

Has anyone switched over to the new blogger in beta? Is it safe to do this yet? I'm thinking that if it makes uploading photos any easier.....couldn't be worse!

Happy Knitting -- almost finished one repeat of the Alcea repeat -- photo soon!

    Cute avatar! Cute Daisy, too! I've not tried Blogger beta yet. I'd be curious to see if it's any better. (yes, particularly in photo uploads)

    I switched to Typepad before Blogger started to go Beta, so I'm no help there.

    You should be able to upload your avatar via your profile. Upload a copy of it to your blog but save it as a draft. Then go to edit profile, scroll down to Photo URL, and copy & paste the "http://photos.....etc" address from your saved avatar draft. Don't include the quote marks however, or it won't work.

Advent Knit Challenge - Finale

Happy New Year!  I really fell out of communication here and on youtube with my 2022 Advent Knit challenge, didn’t I? Well, here are the 3 videos that detail what I had planned, how I progressed and while I didn’t finish as per the schedule I’d set myself….it is finished and I’m happy! This first video details the plan…..and also has updates on my sock knitting. This video was my week 1 update….and then, well, things all got complicated and I disappeared until well, right now! February 17, 2023! Yes, I’ve finished the gorgeousWonderland Shawl by Chloe Thurlow! It’s such an effective design - easy intarsia blocks broken up with a horizontal line…..and finished off with vertical crochet or embroidered lines for that tartan look!
